This started by an ancient Roman tradition of breaking bread of the bride’s head in hopes of bring good luck and fortunate to the couple. Fortunately in during the 1700 a sweet French pastry chef took it to the next level by adding a little butter cream frosting and Volia, the wedding cake was born! You have to love those Frenchies, not only do they have the romantic Eiffel Tower, they also have claim to adding sweetness to weddings.
